David Gardea (Rancho): teaches drums & percussion, guitar, bass, music theory, and music production. He spent time studying at Chaffey College and earned an Associate’s Degree in Fine Arts and Music Performance. He has won several awards—one of them being the Reno Jazz Festival Champion. He produces music, is a recording artist, and also a songwriter. His work has led him to collaborate and perform with many world-renowned musicians and artists including Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas. His vast history in the music industry has made him a skilled musician who can play and teach any genre ranging from jazz to metal to reggae. He has more than a decade of teaching experience which includes working with mentally- and physically-disabled children and adults. He welcomes both beginner and advanced students. He is available for lessons Monday through Friday at our Rancho Cucamonga store.

Bob Mitchell (Upland): I’ve been playing music most of my life: started on classical violin in school, took up guitar in my teens, started playing electric violin in progressive rock and country bands in my 20′s & 30′s.Then started playing on and leading worship teams in the late 90′s up to the present. My favorite styles are classic rock and electric blues, country and bluegrass and newer acoustic and Americana styles, jazz and worship music. I also enjoy leading our kids in worship and teaching and training many of our young kids in worship leading for the kids and youth.

Tony Palkovic

Tony Palkovic (Upland & Rancho): His extensive history with music has allowed him to release noteworthy albums, play with renowned musicians, and host a radio show. He first started playing the trumpet at the age of 9, and later, at the age of 12, started learning guitar. After studying music and film for a few months at Columbia College in Chicago, he transferred to the Berklee College of Music in Boston where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Composition. Over the years, Tony has released several studio albums and has been joined on stage by many talented musicians including Patrick Moraz, Hans Zurmuelen, Jimmy Haslip, Steve Weingert and others. His current band features the talented drummer Kofi Baker. He also plays in various conjugations (either as a guitar trio or quartet) and performs a mix of traditional jazz standards, Jazz-Rock, Latin, and Funk music. Besides studying and performing music, Tony has spent 27 years on air at local college radio station KSPC hosting a jazz show with some remarkable guests. “If you haven’t yet heard Tony Palkovic’s brand of music, you don’t know what you’re missing” – Guitar Player Magazine.Some of the artists with whom Tony has shared the concert bill include: Richard Elliot, Jeff Lorber with Kenny G., The Average White Band and the legendary Weather Report. Leroy Osbourne

Leroy Osbourne (Glendora): Teaches guitar, bass, voice, and percussion on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 2:00pm-8:00pm, Fridays from 2:00pm-6:00pm, and Saturdays from 10:00am-12:00pm. He is a singer/songwriter, producer/arranger, and a multi-instrumentalist. He has been a resident of Glendora for over 20 years and born in the UK. He has a musical career spanning over 30 years, primarily as a studio musician/singer. He’s had writing and singing performances with artists such as Wham, Imagination, Tears for Fears, Jeff Lorber, Rick Braun, and Eric Marienthal, to name a just a few who can attest to his versatility as a musician. Leroy has also established a continuing association with world renowned musical artist Sade since her second album in 1984, and has toured with and recorded with her. Having returned from Sade’s Lovers Rock tour in 2002, Leroy started teaching at Gard’s Music and has had students aged 5 to 85, of all levels. When he isn’t teaching, he utilizes his talents for American Events Network as a singer/bass player for up-scale private functions, weddings, bar mitzvahs, and corporate events. Kyle E. Guerrero (Glendora): Kyle is a multi-instrumentalist who has studied music for over 20 years. Residencies at Disneyland and Hollywood venues, as well as tours throughout the Southwest, have given him success and notoriety in the rock, blues, & reggae industries. His approach to teaching emphasizes learning music fundamentals and theory by transcribing the student’s own favorite songs and artists. However, a more challenging and traditional sight-reading method can be accommodated to the budding classical or jazz student, as Kyle is also a virtuoso solo guitarist having provided ambient music for numerous weddings, festivals, and hotels. Daniel Rodriguez (Glendora): Teaches guitar and bass on Mondays from 4:00pm-5:30pm, Tuesdays from 11:00am-5:00pm, and Sundays from 11:00am-3:00pm. He has been teaching for over 15 years. He studied with G.I.T. grads as well as Berkley grads for many years. He’s played in several groups of genres ranging from Rock, Blues, R&B, and Jazz. He has toured in Europe and around the United States and performed in thousands of gigs locally. He is also able to teach in our Upland location!
