Craig Durst (Glendora): Teaches saxophone on Tuesdays from 3:00pm-8:00pm and Wednesdays from 12:30pm-8:00pm. He has been teaching for 31 years at Gard’s Music and 10 years as Faculty of Music and sax instruction at Mt. San Antonio College and Azusa Pacific University. As an artist, he had four original songs hit “Top 40” Smooth Jazz Radio between 2001 and 2005. He also is a writer and editor of music and audio for television. He owns and operates Flex Studios in Burbank with his wife/musician Mary Durst. Craig is also the director of music/worship at Light and Life Church in Long Beach for the past 25 years. Don Blasick

Don Blasick (Upland): Donald attended the University of Redlands and California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He has studied privately with Franklin Sabin, Dr. Philip Rehfeldt, Loren Levee and Kalman Bloch. His wide variety of musical experience ranges from chamber music and orchestral work to pit orchestras for light opera performing on the clarinet, saxophone and other woodwinds. He also performs with jazz and swing bands for club dates. He has performed in Europe with various groups and toured China as a clarinetist with the Camerata Orchestra and Chorus of Los Angeles. He has been teaching woodwinds privately for 25 years, and coaches woodwinds at high school marching band camps. The instruments he teaches include: Clarinet, Saxophones, Flute, Oboe and Bassoon (Accordion too!).

Phil Limina

Phil Limina (Glendora): Teaches flute, saxophone, and clarinet on Saturdays from 10:00am-2:00pm. He has been teaching music for over 40 years. He studied piano as a child, then moved to flute and other woodwinds. He received a BA in Performance from CSUN and has over 45 years of varied performance experience. Phil also toured nationally with the “John Briggs Consort” performing early music on ancient instruments from 1963-1968.

Jonathan Dickson

Jonathan Dickson (Glendora):

Teaches all woodwind instruments including saxophone, clarinet, flute, oboe, and bassoon. He teaches on Tuesdays from 2:00pm-8:00pm. He has been teaching for over 20 years and has worked at various high schools and middle schools in the area. He received a BA in Philosophy from CalPoly and an MA in Philosophy from Cal State LA. His education in music and philosophy allows him to teach and convey musical ideas at a higher level.
